Erykah Badu vs Jill Scott

These darn Verzuz Battles are giving me LIFE!

Tonight I was listening to Jill Scott and Erykah Badu play their music and share stories, it was food for my soul. We needed this…the sisterhood, the love, and the positive vibes! The level of talent between these 2 LADIES is incredible. When Erykah Badu released “Baduizm” and Jill Scott released “Who is Jill Scott?”…it changed my life! It was so good to see two beautiful people, singing, and performing music for the soul. I salute these 2 successful Queens, Icons, and Legends they changed the landscape of soul music. When you hear the instruments knocking, the lyrics flowing, and the poetry being released, it's a vibe…what a blessing to my ears! This experience brought back so many memories and it puts you back at a time when singers were passionate about their craft and the lyrics had meaning. This was so needed during a time of uncertainty and change.

I was so inspired and appreciative that I had to write about it.
