A couple of weekends ago I attended the Chicago Writers Conference from 9/23 to 9/25th! This jam packed conference featured some of the best members of the mid-west writing community. I met so many helpful, talented, and inspiring people. I learned so much during this weekend! The most memorable sessions discussed freelance writing, publishing, editing, branding, establishing an online reputation, and grabbing the readers attention.
The writers conference also featured two authors...
The 1st author wrote about the famous African America newspaper based in Chicago entitled "The Defender" by Ethan Michaeli. I learned so much about this iconic publication in less than 45 minutes!
The 2nd author, Natalie Y Moore wrote about "The South Side" - which chronicles the history of a small neighborhood on the south side of Chicago. I am very familiar with the south side so, I bought this book & cannot wait to turn the pages.
Overall this was an great experience! It was exciting and inspiring to be around so many creative and talented people! Just grateful for the opportunity! #cwc2016
